Ok, I will say this. As an American Indian I have been pulled over and questioned many times just because I happen to be ethnic and in my younger days bigotry was well, better tolerated then, then it is today. That said I believe that in this day we can pretty much enforce the laws without racial profiling. I will admit that this would and is a personal choice and I hope that our local police departments try their best to not hire people with racial biases. I do understand that a 100% compliance is not to be expected. It should be simple to institute a rule that whomever is pulled over by the police regardless of race, creed or color will be asked to prove that they are legally in our Country. This can easily be done by showing a drivers license or other legal identification. After the Police run the identification which they do anyways and confirm that the person is legal or illegal then he can be either let go or arrested. Seem pretty simple to me and if it is done to everyone then the fact that most of those caught that are illegal will be Hispanic is pointless and has nothing to do with racial profiling and has everything to do with the fact that most of the illegals here are Hispanic. There is nothing racist about that, it is only facts. 3 years ago 5 people rated this as good :-)
